Caring for Carcinoid Foundation - Survivor Stories
John Hall
- Cancer type: Carcinoid
- Diagnosis year: 2002
- Home: Louisville, KY - USA
As a patient of carcinoid mets with 19 lesions removed from liver
and 1 at pancreas biopsy with radiation to the duodenum area and a small
nodule in lung that disappeared.
I have doctor office visits monthly for the last 50 months.
Completing blood lab tests and an injection of octreotide acetate for my
symptoms of carcinoid. I have an Rx for pain usually every 2 months.
I have an intake of multi-vitamins including b-12 and iron and niacinamide (no
flush).
I eat healthy foods with a good lifestyle. I avoid an essential
amino acid called tryptophan found in foods especially meats.
I visit a psychiatrist for depression and sleep associated with diagnosis
of cancer.
I usually go to my home computer and research cancer websites to find out
any new changes of 2006 and found this new website called Caring for
Carcinoid Foundation.
I have found that the US government has donated to the research of this
cancer of carcinoid or neuroendocrine a contract until 2011.
Hoping to find a cure!!!
I am proud of the US government in many ways of decisions and
achievements of our great country and have confidence in their research
struggle to find the cause and cure of this gastrointestinal neuroendocrine
cancer that metastasized to several organs and to the hepatic liver.
I will survive this type of cancer with help from my oncologists per
month.
God bless, John
