How I Survive Cancer

My story began in late October 2008 I had suffered a asthma attack which I had 10 days in hospital On the chest x-ray they found a tuomour Atypical carcinoid tumour located in the right lower lobe.

I had the first thoractomy in Nov 2008 and spent 10 days in hospital. I had a right lobectomy I was lucky because the cancer didn't spread Unfortunately, only 4 days home I had to be readmitted and had to be opened up again I developed emphema severe infection.

My worst nightmare just occurred. I spent another 2 weeks in hospital. Slow rehabilitation over the next 6 months.

I recovered slowly and in the July of 2009, I went back to the eastern states (home) where I was suppose to celebrate my "50" birthday I contracted the H1N1 flu another one month to recover then in the month of Sept I had another asthma attack.

Its now April 2010 and I am very well.

Just returned from an overseas trip and thoroughly enjoyed myself!!

How I Fight for a Cure

I regularly donate to the different charities in Australia for cancer.

My Caring Words of Encouragement

I can say that you should never "give" up even when it feels pretty hopeless. surround yourself with supportive family and friends. Try to keep positive and take one day at a time.

Cheers for now.
