Los Angeles Neuroendocrine Tumor Patient Education Seminar

Co-hosted by the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Event Description

On March 27th, come join your fellow neuroendocrine tumor patients for an exciting day of discovery.  Learn about the latest in treatment options, the role of surgical intervention and radioembolization as well as participate in two patient-oriented, interactive case studies.  These studies will be geared towards answering important questions such as: how does one determine the best treatment options, what are the outcomes from these decisions, and more. The Expert Panel Includes:

 

Edward Wolin MD: Co-Director, Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumor Program
Medical Oncologist, Samuel Oschin Cancer Center

Farin Amersi MD, FACS: Surgical Oncologist

Marc Friedman MD: Chief of Vascular & Interventional Radiology, Director of the Uterine Fibroid Embolization Program (UFE)

Nicholas Nissen MD: Assistant Surgical Director, Multi-Organ Transplant Program

Run Yu MD, PhD: Co-Director, Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumor Program,
Endocrinologist, Samuel Oschin Cancer Center

Simon Lo MD: Director, Pancreatic and Biliary Diseases Program; Director, GI Endoscopy

Steven Colquhoun MD, FACS: Surgical Director, Liver Transplantation

 

Each speaker will give a brief lecture with question & answer session which will be followed by the interactive case studies which will be moderated by Dr Edward Wolin with input from the expert panel and you!
